With our first new moon of the astrological calendar, Aries, the first sign in the zodiac, is asking us to create new ways of being. A new moon is symbolic of new beginnings, but this one in Aries is especially potent. The collective shifts occurring across the world are creating a whole new chapter in Earth’s history. Let the cleansing energy of the recent Spring Equinox and Mars-ruled Aries give you the courage to move forward despite any fear you may be feeling now. Don’t feel pressured to accomplish. Instead, focus on reflecting, planning, and imagining. Staying inside won’t prevent you from gaining clarity and setting goals while tuning in to your perceptions and feelings to release fear and embrace uncertainty. This New Moon in Aries is all about being present in the best ways you can be.

Ritual:
March’s Storm Moon falls on a Tuesday. Like Aries, this day of the week is ruled by red-hot Mars, increasing your strength and confidence in the intentions set during this new moon. After a detoxifying salt bath (a practice synonymous with new moons), carry out the below ritual that incorporates the use of moon water to manifest perseverance and serenity. At or after half past the hour, fill a glass vessel with filtered water. Face East—the direction of strength, clarity, and new beginnings—dress and light your candle, placing your cleansed crystal(s) next to it, and whisper your intention while holding your cup. Breathe and meditate as long as you wish before placing your glass on your altar. Let the candle burn out on its own (don’t leave it unattended!) and the next morning drink your moon water. Feel the intentions you have set flow through you. Keep your charged crystals with you until your next moon ritual!
